cakes and cards!

picture of my successful trunk show in eugene - thanks mom & dad! it was great fun with super sales and a bunch of special orders! i love eugene and am so thankful for a positive show!

a daughter of a friend is starting a cake business in salem and she asked to have some show at my trunk show. since i went to the UO there was the duck one with daisies. CUTE! her business website is www.kirstensearcy.webs.com so check it out if you need super cute cakes for your next event!
this one she did special for clothespin cards! isn't it darling?? it was really good too! the chocolate one was super fancy and would be a great addition to any event!

enjoy your cake and write a letter to your friends today! it'll make you feel great!

garage sale finds!

we just happened to go by a garage sale today and found these awesome suitcases. they were $3 each and i had to have them for card displays.
the insides made them totally worth the $6!
we were talking at the sale if the one on the left was for records or what but the one with the dividers will be awesome for tag display at future holiday sales! celebrate fall and send a card today!

new and different creations

i have been musing about using less adhesive so i tried to do some cards with staples and old coffee bean bags from my friend brenda, owner of sauvie island coffee company. i also like the mixture of textures with the bags, corrugated cardboard, cardstock, and a clothespin.

this one has sparkly tissue paper as a heart along with staples holding down the oil cloth. i was having great fun and it was fun to put these together as they felt easy and simple and a bit thrown together.this one has a metal washer with the word love on it, staples, hemp twine and corrugated cardboard. fun, fun, fun! send a card today!

birthday season

the fall is a busy time for birthdays and these are some of my favorite cards for birthday giving. wouldn't you love one in your mailbox? my son was born on my birthday so we celebrated with style as most 5 year old birthday parties are and although he might not be old enough to appreciate good birthday cards, i sure do and am thankful for many in mailbox. send a card today!
