tilley's sale a success!

tilley's sale was a blast! thanks to an amazing group of women, janet, heather, carolyn, mary, and kristy, i spent the weekend laughing, selling my cards and learning about antiques! what fun! special thanks to my mom for her antiques to help my display look great and fit right in with the surroundings! these cards are in an old metal dish drainer!

i asked people to type me a comment and i have some for future posts! people were very excited to use it and kids really got a kick out of it!

tilley's farm sale!

i was invited to do a barn sale and am very nervous but excited! it's this weekend in Warren, Oregon on Church Road if you're in the area. creating new cards with fruits, vegetables and cupcakes! enjoy the summer!

funny letter from the past!

my friend rachel sent me this via email and i think that i needed to post it in hopes that you write letters to your friends and tell them what YOU want for Christmas this year! this is from 1976 and it was the tri-fold stationery that came with matching stickers to close the letter. i am having a great laugh over this great email tonight from rachel. guess i have been writing letters for a long time and hoping that i have something more interesting to say these days! send a letter to your friends today!

more garden inspiration

i just bought the Farm Chicks book today and am thoroughly inspired to get back to basics so while md and his friend play in the mud pile, i picked peas, lettuce, spinach, berries, and flowers to grace my table. i'm enamored with the harvest this year.

i think we need to make strawberry shortcake tonight. hope you're enjoying your summer harvest as well.

strawberry time is here!

i had a great trunk show this weekend and while looking at my tomato, carrot, and watermelon cards i got a special order for strawberry cards. somehow i was inspired today so the cards are already done.

doesn't this look good enough to add whip cream and call it a day! enjoy some strawberries while writing a card to your friends today!

these tags say 'besos' which means kisses in spanish and sending those out to the great women who took time to talk with me about selling my cards in their shops (shout out to Lisa at Butterscotch and Sarah at POSH!). retail vs. wholesale and the whole idea of a 'business' was truly fascinating and i was thrilled with their suggestions, thoughts, and ideas. i feel like i am at a crossroads with where to go next and how to focus my business so this was a great day to have this opportunity.

revisiting old ideas

this was my dream when i started this ... to have pictures of all my work hanging from the clothesline. it worked for these tags so maybe i'll revisit the idea. although these are christmas tags, they look pretty cool with the clothespins.
